About Renaissance Academy

Founded in 1994, Renaissance Academy is a coeducational, nonsectarian school located in Altadena, California. The school was established to provide students with a smaller, more personalized learning environment than is typically available in a traditional school setting.

Renaissance Academy serves students from diverse backgrounds and supports a range of learning needs and academic goals. Through individualized instruction and a college-preparatory curriculum, the school promotes academic growth, personal responsibility, and individual achievement.

Renaissance Academy offers a distinctive educational experience that combines college preparation with athletic development and early college opportunities. Students are encouraged to pursue their academic goals while developing their athletic interests, and qualified students may engage in college-level coursework and earn college credit while completing their high school education. This flexible approach supports students in preparing for both higher education and their individual academic and extracurricular goals.
