My name is Tom Giannelli, Ph.D., and I am excited to bring my passion and experience to my new role as the principal of Renaissance Academy. With over 30 years in the field of education, I have dedicated my career to fostering environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My journey in education has been deeply fulfilling, allowing me to work with diverse groups of learners and educators while staying committed to innovation and excellence.
Before embarking on my educational career, I was fortunate enough to pursue another passion of mine—professional baseball. The discipline, teamwork, and perseverance I developed during those years have greatly influenced my leadership style and approach to education. Outside of my professional life, I am a proud father of two wonderful boys who continue to inspire me every day. As a family, we share a love for science, technology, and, of course, our feline companions.
I believe strongly in the power of education to transform lives and am eager to collaborate with the students, staff, and families at Renaissance Academy. Together, I am confident we can create a dynamic learning community where innovation and curiosity are celebrated, and every student is empowered to reach their full potential.
